የኦዲትን ሥራ ገለልተኛ በሆነ መንገድ በጥራትና በስፋት በማከናወን ለም/ቤቱ እና ለሚመለከታቸው አካላት ተጨባጭ ማስረጃና የሙያ አስተያየት በመስጠት በመንግስት አሰራር ግልጽነት፣ተጠያቂነት እና አርዕያነት ያላቸው ልምዶች እንዲጠናከሩ ይሰራል፡፡
Mission
By carrying out the audit work in an independent manner, with quality and scope, by providing concrete evidence and professional opinion to the council and the relevant parties, it works to strengthen transparency, accountability and exemplary practices in the government system.

Strategic focus area:- The office’s strategic focus areas are six, which are to further enhance and strengthen the institution’s Freedom and neutrality, strengthen institutional development and management capacity, increase audit coverage, increase the quality of audit services, increase the use of technology and innovation, and increase audit communication work.
